DAY 1: CASABLANCA → CHEFCHAOUEN

Your journey begins with a pick-up from Mohammed V International Airport or your hotel in Casablanca. From there, the road heads north through Morocco’s Atlantic plains toward the Rif Mountains — home to one of Morocco’s most beloved destinations.

Chefchaouen is a town unlike any other: its medina is a dreamscape of narrow alleyways painted in infinite shades of blue, draped in flowering plants, and filled with the scent of cedar and spice. After checking in to your hotel or riad, the afternoon and evening are yours to wander freely — browse the local artisan shops, sip mint tea at a rooftop café, and soak in the extraordinary atmosphere of this photogenic mountain town.

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN → FES

After a leisurely breakfast in Chefchaouen, you have a final morning to explore its picturesque corners before departing for Fes. The drive southeast carries you through the forested Rif Mountains and into the plains of northern Morocco.

Arriving in Fes in the afternoon, you check in to your riad and begin to feel the energy of this extraordinary city — the spiritual and intellectual capital of Morocco, founded over 1,200 years ago. The evening is perfect for a first stroll around the edges of the medina and dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3: FES → IFRANE → MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS → ZIZ VALLEY → MERZOUGA DESERT

A full day of travel with unforgettable scenery. After breakfast, your private vehicle departs south, climbing through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas where you may spot Barbary macaques along the roadside near Azrou. The mountain air is fresh and cool as you pass through Ifrane, a charming Alpine-style town surrounded by forests.

Beyond the mountains, the landscape transforms dramatically as you descend into the Ziz Valley — a long, lush oasis of date palms stretching deep into the pre-Saharan landscape. The arrival at Merzouga in the late afternoon is one of the tour’s greatest moments: the Erg Chebbi dunes, rising up to 150 metres above the flat desert floor, glow orange and rose in the evening light.

You mount your camel and ride into the dunes for a golden-hour sunset. At the luxury desert camp, dinner is served under a sky overflowing with stars, followed by an evening of traditional Berber music around the campfire.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA DESERT → RISSANI → TODRA GORGE → DADES GORGE

Wake early for the desert sunrise — a slow, magnificent unfurling of light over the dunes that will stay in your memory long after you return home. After breakfast, you leave the desert by camel or 4×4 and head west.

Passing through Rissani — the ancient market town at the edge of the Sahara — you continue to Tinghir and the Todra Gorge. The canyon’s sheer limestone walls, pressed tightly together above a clear stream, create a narrow corridor of extraordinary natural drama. A short walk through the gorge is one of the tour’s most photogenic moments.

The afternoon drive brings you westward to the Dades Gorge, where your hotel is set against a backdrop of towering canyon walls in shades of ochre and red. A well-deserved rest and dinner close out this rich day.

DAY 5: DADES GORGE → OUARZAZATE → AIT BEN HADDOU → HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS → MARRAKECH

The final day combines cultural heritage with spectacular mountain scenery. The morning drive passes through the Rose Valley near Kelaat M’Gouna and into Ouarzazate — the so-called “Hollywood of Africa,” where sprawling film studios have hosted productions from Gladiator to Game of Thrones.

From Ouarzazate, a short detour brings you to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou — a UNESCO World Heritage Site of towering earthen architecture rising above a valley floor. After exploring its ancient walls and alleyways, the road climbs back into the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, before descending to Marrakech, where you are dropped at your accommodation in the evening.
